FRANCIS
COPPOLA

Where film authorship became a living brand across
wine, resorts, products, and aircraft.

Working directly with Francis Ford Coppola meant designing far beyond labels
or posters.

The opportunity was to translate a filmmaker’s visual language into a complete
brand world spanning wine, cinema, hospitality, products, global experiences,

This became a long-term design system where storytelling, packaging, environments, and visual identity all spoke the same cinematic language.

Selected Work

Problem:

Francis Coppola existed as two powerful brands:

The legendary film director
The premium winemaker and hospitality entrepreneur

They weren’t visually or conceptually connected.

Concept:

Use film language as brand language.

Bring cinematic devices, zoetropes, frames, narrative symbolism, typography, props,
and poster logic, into packaging, environments, products, and experiences.

Make everything feel like it came from the same mind.

System:

A cross-disciplinary system applied to:

Director’s Cut wine (zoetrope label system, renamed sub-brand)
Oscar limited editions for the Academy Awards
Film identities (Megalopolis 2025, Youth Without Youth, Tetro, Twixt, Experimental)
Luxury resorts across multiple countries
Private jet livery
60+ new products and beverage lines
Posters, props, packaging, digital, environments

One visual language. Many expressions.

Impact:

Director’s Cut became a renamed and iconic sub-brand
Limited editions featured at the Academy Awards Governors Ball
A cohesive brand across wine, film, hospitality, and products
Long-term creative partnership built on trust and authorship

What this proves:

You operate across packaging, film, environments, and products
You bring taste, narrative thinking, and design discipline together
You handle end-to-end creative ownership across industries
You build worlds, not campaigns

Brazilian Cocktails

Prepackaged drinks for Brazil, designed to bottle the sensuality of sun, beaches, and long summer nights.

Pinga is a colloquial name for cachaca, the famous Brazilian alcohol that is made from the condensation of heated sugar cane juice. We wanted to allude to that process in a rich sensual way in the packaging.
